Privacy at Clarion.
Clarion helps independent publishers evaluate, place, and measure advertising. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to reach us.
What we collect
When you use Clarion, we collect account information such as your email address, login details, publisher profile, site details, and payout readiness information. If you install the Clarion tag, we collect ad-serving events, page URLs, placement configuration, device class, referrer category, performance signals, and other operational data needed to serve and measure ads.
We may also collect audit data for sites submitted to Clarion, including rendered screenshots, page structure, public content, network-request summaries, and quality signals used to evaluate the site.
How we use data
We use data to run audits, provide publisher dashboards, operate ad placements, measure impressions, detect invalid traffic, reconcile provider reports, calculate publisher earnings, improve site performance, and protect the Clarion network from fraud or abuse.
We also use operational data to debug delivery, enforce placement quality rules, comply with legal obligations, and communicate with publishers about their accounts.
Advertising and measurement
Clarion is an advertising technology service. When a publisher uses Clarion on their site, Clarion may process device, browser, performance, page, placement, and ad-event information to decide whether an ad can be served and to report what happened.
Publishers are responsible for providing any required notices and consent controls to their own visitors, including disclosures about third-party advertising, cookies, identifiers, and data sharing where required by law.
Service providers
We use service providers for hosting, databases, analytics, authentication, email, payments, and advertising demand. These providers may process data for Clarion only as needed to provide their services or meet legal obligations.
Retention and security
We keep data for as long as needed to provide Clarion, maintain accounting and audit records, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and comply with law. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.
Your choices
Publishers can request access, correction, export, or deletion of account information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, or legal reasons.
